Clifden Show 2018

How is it possible that Clifden Show 2018 has already been and gone?! As what has become the norm for show day, this years weather was a heavy mix of rain and sunshine...but the showers did not dampen any spirits and as always it was so lovely to catch up with friends from far and wide. This years show did not disappoint with such a wonderful display of our native breed, congratulations to all our fellow competitors and prize winners, it is always a proud moment to be in the line up in Clifden. We were delighted with our gorgeous boy Manor Duke produced and shown by Joe Burke who placed 2nd in the stallion class, Joe and Eamon Burke have done an incredible job with Duke and we could not have been prouder of him! Congratulations to Malachy Gorham and the O'Flynn family whose pony Slackport Prince placed first and went on to win Supreme Champion, what a proud day for you all! Manor April shown by Sarah Dickinson competed in the 7-9 year old mare class and whilst it wasn't to be her day we were so proud of how she looked and went in the ring, this mare had a difficult start to the summer sadly losing a foal and all credit goes to Anne Conroy and Sarah for working so hard with her to get her into such great condition and form to be able to be able show to show on the day. She is the sweetest mare and has a great future ahead of her. Special congratulations goes to the newest member of the Manor Team, Sean Conneely who placed 6th in a very strong 10-15 year old mare class with his beautiful mare Glen Ellens Fancy! We are very lucky to have an incredible team here at Manor Ponies and behind the scenes thanks must go to Paula Bann who makes sure we're all organised! As we say here, it takes a village to raise a pony!!

Now on to Oughterard!! Hopefully we'll so lots of you there!
