Ballyconneely 2017

After the cold wet weather of Roundstone last week, Sundays sunshine in Ballyconneely was very welcome! Two year old Manor Winnies Storm (Rosscon Windy Lady x Monaghanstown Boy) shown by Anne Conroy came out for his first show of the year in the 2/3 year old Colt Championship. While it wasn't his day this time round we were delighted with how he handled the occasion, he has such a sweet nature and revels in all the attention! Next up was Manor Willow (Emlagharan Sally x Dunloughan Troy) taking 3rd place in the 3 year old filly class with Sarah Dickinson, we are very happy with how well this little dun is doing this season. On to the 4-6 year old Mare class and Manor April (Rosscon Windy Lady x Monaghanstown Fionn) who took 4th place in a very strong line up. The stallion class followed with Manor Duke and Joe Burke taking first place, his 9th win of the season! Rounding off a wonderful day for the Manor team, Duke was named Supreme Champion of the show with Amy Curran and Glencarrig Countess awarded Reserve Supreme Champion. Thank you to all at Ballyconneely for organising such a great show, it's always a great day out and even better with all the sunshine! ☀️
