We are all on a bit of a high after a great day at Roundstone yesterday! The wet weather didn't do anything to deter a great turnout in all classes, it was fantastic yet again to see such a fantastic collection of strong, quality ponies. With Manor April taking a well earned rest this week Manor Willow came out for her first show of the season. Shown by Sarah Dickinson in the 3 year old filly class we were so delighted with how well she went and even happier to see her taking second place in a strong class won by the lovely Castle Pippa and Henry O'Toole who went on to win the Junior Championship. So not a bad first day out for our gorgeous little dun! Next up was Manor Duke and Joe Burke in the stallion class, I'm running out of things to say about this duo, they're just a joy to watch in the ring, the judges seemed to agree awarding them first place! Next up for us was the 7-12 yr old Mare class and Rosscon Windy Lady, this sweet mare and Sarah went beautifully and in such a big class of super mares we were delighted to see the pair take second place! Credit must go to Anne Conroy and Sarah who even in such awful weather conditions managed to turn out both mares immaculately! So to top off a fantastic day in Roundstone Manor Duke and Joe went on to take the Supreme Championship with Paddy Kearns' mare with foal at foot Loughmore Suzy taking Reserve. To be honest, there's very little more I can say about Duke and Joe, except to say how proud we are and to see them parading through the town last evening was just a very special memory to hold onto.
